Stephen Garcia enrolls in PTI
COLUMBIA (WIS) - USC quarterback Stephen Garcia was accepted into the pre-trial intervention program on Friday, according to his lawyer Neil Lourie.
As part of the program, Stephen Garcia had to pay restitution for keying a professor's car. He will also have to go to classes, counseling and do community service.
Once Stephen Garcia completes the program, his record of the misdemeanors can be expunged.
Stephen Garcia was charged with public drunkeness and failure to stop on police command in February. Two weeks later, Stephen Garcia was charged with malicious injury to personal property for keying a professor's car.
Stephen Garcia enrolled early at USC last spring so he could get a head start practicing with the football team. Two arrests later, he was suspended from spring practice. He has since then been reinstated to the team.
