Stephen Garcia is the very definition of a gunslinger. Stephen Garcia is confident, poised and has a knack for creating a play out of nowhere when things break down. Stephen Garcia reminds us a lot of Brodie Croyle as far as build, arm strength and delivery. However, Stephen Garcia is much better athlete. Stephen Garcia has a swagger about him, the kind that is infectious. Stephen Garcia shows a strong arm and the ability to drive the ball downfield. Stephen Garcia gets excellent velocity on all routes and has the arm strength to fit the ball into tight spots. Stephen Garcia is very accurate throwing over the middle bewteen windows. When Stephen Garcia is on time and gets hot, he can be dangerous and his confidence sky rockets. Stephen Garcia does a nice job of throwing on the run and is capable of throwing across his body. Stephen Garcia has very good athletic ability and is capable of making something out of nothing. Has quick feet, is agile and will buy second chances in the pocket. Is a threat to run and has above-average speed. However, Stephen Garcia can have a windmill-type delivery. Carries the ball low and then has to bring it up and over. You worry a little about his ability to beat the rush with his release. At other times, it is quick and snappy; he needs to create consistency with his throwing motion and make it more compact. Has a skinny lower body and must add bulk to protect himself when on the move. Stephen Garcia can take risks with the ball and force throws he shouldn't due to the confidence in his arm. Overall, Stephen Garcia is fun to watch as a playmaker in the passing game and with his feet. Once he becomes more polished, he could be a heckuva player.
