Beaufort High's Devin Taylor commits to USC football
Devin Taylors high school football career came to an end in a tough 23-14 loss to Clover High School at Williams-Brice Stadium, home of the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Now, Beaufort High School�s star defensive end has four years to make new memories at Williams-Brice after committing to play at South Carolina on Monday.
Taylor, who was named The Beaufort Gazette/Island Packet 2007 Defensive Player of the Year, had narrowed his choices down to South Carolina, Wake Forest, N.C. State, Kentucky and Virginia Tech before selecting the Gamecocks.
The 6-foot-6, 225-pound Taylor finished his senior season with 110 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. He was selected to the Shrine Bowl and named to the Associated Press All-State team.
